SIMMENTAL IMPACT

The Simmental breeding cows have good fertility and the higher mature cow size translates to heavier calves at weaning
Male calves typically wean at 280kg liveweight on average
They finish at an average liveweight 660kg mostly within 12-14 months of weaning
This is an impressive 1+kg/day weight gain from weaning on pasture
If fee allows, Heifers are a great fit for the export market where premium are paid
